When I decided to start a food truck, I found my real passion for cooking and food.
My foodtruck "I Love SuriFood" was the first - and for a long time the only - Surinamese foodtruck in the Netherlands. My foodtrucks were not only at the big music festivals, but also at foodtruck festivals such as Trek and Rollende Keukens. It quickly became a success: that first truck grew into a food truck chain that I sold in 2018.
Nowadays I am also a food vlogger, ambassador and culinary consultant of Surinamese cuisine. I have a mission: I want to make exotic flavors and dishes more accessible to the general public. In my YouTube series "Comfortfood Adventures," as a food vlogger I take you along a variety of chefs, entrepreneurs and special people who share their most beloved comfort food dish.
